Bears continue fluctuation in power rankings

November 26th, 2008 - 12:29 pm

When your longest win streak and losing streak is 2 games and you’ve spent most of the season at or near .500, it’s not likely you’ll be fixed in a certain position within any national power rankings. That’s exactly the case for the Bears, who jumped up a few spots following a 27-3 thrashing of the Rams. Most pollsters made it a point to mention that it was just the Rams they beat and it’s not exactly a determining factor on whether or not the Bears have improved since last week’s embarrassing loss to the Packers.

COOL STAT: After just five sacks in their previous five games, including just one in the previous 116 drop-backs by their opponents, the Bears racked up a season-high five sacks against the Rams in Week 12.
