Bears release first depth chart

The Bears unveiled their first unofficial depth chart of the season on Wednesday with no real surprises.

The offensive line — which coach Mike Tice announced on Sunday — was confirmed with J’Marcus Webb at left tackle, Chris Williams at left guard, Roberto Garza at center, Lance Louis at right guard, and rookie Gabe Carimi at right tackle.

Roy Williams and Devin Hester are the starting wide receivers, also as expected. Johnny Knox and Dane Sanzenbacher are behind Williams and Earl Bennett and Sam Hurd back up Hester.

One of the main positions of interest after the addition of Marion Barber is running back. Matt Forte is the starter with Chester Taylor second on the depth chart and Barber third. Kahlil Bell is listed fourth.

The other position that features solid depth, defensive tackle, shakes out as follows: Matt Toeaina is listed as a co-starter at both the nose tackle (with Anthony Adams) and the under tackle (with Henry Melton). Amobi Okoye is listed as third string behind Meton and Toeaina. Stephen Paea and Marcus Harrison are listed as co-third-string nose tackles behind Adams and Toeaina.
