November 13th, 2013 - 9:05 am

Here’s a look at my NFL power rankings for Week 11 of the 2013 season.

RANK. TEAM NAME (PREVIOUS RANK)(RECORD)

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (1)(9-0) — Had the bye week to prepare for showdown with Broncos.
  2. Denver Broncos (3)(8-1) — Jumped up in the rankings and could leapfrog Chiefs with victory this week.
  3. Seattle Seahawks (4)(9-1) — Continue to roll along, albeit a bit quieter than some other teams.
  4. New England Patriots (6)(7-2) — Bye week.
  5. New Orleans Saints (7)(7-2) — Destroyed the Cowboys in what turned out not to be a shootout.
  6. Carolina Panthers (11)(6-3) — One of the top story lines of the season, defense is getting it done. Upset 49ers.
  7. Indianapolis Colts (2)(6-3) — St. Louis exposed a lot of weaknesses in Indianapolis.
  8. Detroit Lions (10)(6-3) — Have firm grasp of the NFC North with victory over Bears.
  9. San Francisco 49ers (5)(6-3) — Couldn’t score against strong Panthers defense.
  10. Philadelphia Eagles (16)(5-5) — Philly cruised against the quarterback-less Packers.
  11. Cincinnati Bengals (8)(6-4) — Lost a close one to division rival Baltimore in overtime.
  12. Dallas Cowboys (13)(5-5) — Couldn’t match firepower with the Saints.
  13. Chicago Bears (12)(5-4) — Injury struggles are adding up and they couldn’t beat the Lions at home.
  14. Green Bay Packers (9)(5-4) — Now the Packers fans are learning what it’s like not to have stability at quarterback.
  15. Baltimore Ravens (20)(4-5) — Big overtime victory over the Bengals this week.
  16. St. Louis Rams (23)(4-6) — Demolished the Colts on the road. Breakout party for rookie Austin.
  17. New York Jets (14)(5-4) — Bye week.
  18. Miami Dolphins (15)(4-5) — Team is in a major slide the last several weeks. Lost to previously winless Bucs.
  19. San Diego Chargers (17)(4-5) — Like most teams this year, had a little trouble stopping Peyton Manning’s Broncos.
  20. Washington Redskins (18)(4-5) — Lost a close one to the Vikings on Thursday night.
  21. Cleveland Browns (19)(4-5) — Bye week.
  22. Arizona Cardinals (22)(5-4) — Outlasted a woeful Texans team by a field goal.
  23. Tennessee Titans (21)(4-5) — Somehow lost to a terrible Jaguars team, previously winless.
  24. New York Giants (29)(3-6) — Took care of business against a bad Raiders team.
  25. Pittsburgh Steelers (27)(3-6) — Handled the Bills.
  26. Houston Texans (24)(2-7) — Struggles continue for this once prominent AFC South team.
  27. Minnesota Vikings (30)(2-7) — Had a nice comeback win over the Redskins Thursday night.
  28. Oakland Raiders (25)(3-6) — Lost a close one to the Giants.
  29. Atlanta Falcons (26)(2-7) — How much worse can it get for this once strong ball club?
  30. Buffalo Bills (28)(3-7) — No match for the Steelers.
  31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (31)(1-8) — Picked up their first victory of the season against a spiraling Dolphins team.
  32. Jacksonville Jaguars (32)(1-8) — Lost again … er, um. What? They won? That might be their last.
