The Depth Chart: 2013 NFL Week 13 Power Rankings

November 26th, 2013 - 6:15 pm

Here’s a look at my NFL power rankings for Week 13 of the 2013 season.

RANK. TEAM NAME (PREVIOUS RANK)(RECORD)

  1. Denver Broncos (1)(9-2) — It’s difficult to knock them down in the rankings despite loss to Patriots. Too good. Just had off night.
  2. Seattle Seahawks (2)(10-1) — Bye week.
  3. New Orleans Saints (4)(9-2) — Took down Falcons. Big showdown with Seahawks next week.
  4. New England Patriots (6)(8-3) — Big victory over Broncos. Still too many weaknesses to be top dog, but Brady played great.
  5. Carolina Panthers (5)(8-3) — Clung to a close victory over the Dolphins.
  6. Kansas City Chiefs (3)(9-2) — Lost to Chargers. On a bit of a slide lately. Could make it three losses in a row if they fall to Denver.
  7. San Francisco 49ers (9)(7-4) — Rolled to a victory over the Redskins on Monday night.
  8. Philadelphia Eagles (11)(6-5) — Bye week.
  9. Cincinnati Bengals (12)(7-4) — Bye week.
  10. Dallas Cowboys (13)(6-5) — Just barely outlasted the resurgent Giants.
  11. Arizona Cardinals (16)(7-4) — Rolled over the Colts. Looking mighty good in the NFC playoff picture.
  12. St. Louis Rams (14)(5-6) — Good pieces for an average team lead to some interesting games. Pounded the Bears.
  13. Indianapolis Colts (7)(7-4) — What happened to this team? No run game, no defense.
  14. Detroit Lions (8)(6-5) — Keep finding ways to lose games they shouldn’t. Lost to the Bucs at home.
  15. Chicago Bears (10)(6-5) — All offense, no defense. Will have to get into shootouts.
  16. Baltimore Ravens (17)(5-6) — Big win over the lousy Jets.
  17. San Diego Chargers (22)(5-6) — Took down the Chiefs in impressive fashion.
  18. Miami Dolphins (15)(5-6) — Battled the Panthers tough but in the end just didn’t have enough.
  19. Tennessee Titans (25)(5-6) — Not a great team, but a decent team playing well.
  20. Pittsburgh Steelers (19)(5-6) — Nice win over the division rival Browns.
  21. New York Giants (18)(4-7) — Talked a big game heading into battle with Cowboys but just fell short.
  22. Green Bay Packers (20)(5-5-1) — Had to settle for a tie against a bad Vikings team.
  23. New York Jets (21)(5-6) — Looked pitiful against the Ravens. No offense whatsoever.
  24. Washington Redskins (23)(3-8) — RG3 just doesn’t look right and hasn’t all year. Lost to the 49ers.
  25. Cleveland Browns (24)(4-7) — Had no answer for the Steelers.
  26. Buffalo Bills (26)(4-7) — Bye week.
  27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (30)(3-8) — Nice road win over the Lions.
  28. Oakland Raiders (27)(4-7) — Lost to a pretty decent Titans team.
  29. Minnesota Vikings (29)(2-8-1) — Battled the hobbled Packers to an overtime time.
  30. Houston Texans (28)(2-9) — Lost to the Jaguars, but still a better team than the two below them.
  31. Atlanta Falcons (31)(2-9) — Kept it close against the Saints, but still one of the worst teams in the league.
  32. Jacksonville Jaguars (32)(2-9) — Nice victory over the Texans, but not enough to move them out of the cellar.
