Bears-Packers season opener to be FOX game of the week

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears will be front and center when the NFL season kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Which means you might want to turn down your television and turn up the home team call on WBBM 780.

The noon kickoff will be called by FOX’s No. 1 broadcast team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman — you know, perennial Bears haters and Packers lovers — with Erin Andrew roaming the sideline seeking pageviews and television air time.

Considering how raw the Bears figure to be under their new coaching regime and in the middle of scheme changes, not to mention as they battle suspensions and injuries, it might not be the most noteworthy game to broadcast. The Packers, even without injured receiver Jordy Nelson, have been noted Super Bowl contenders and should roll to a Week 1 victory.
